I was born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria, a small, beautiful country on the Balkan Peninsula.
In 2002, after graduating a German language high school, I relocated to Germany to study art history, film, and theatre sciences. During that period, I began my employment as a lighting technician in a state theatre in Mainz, Germany and as a lighting and camera technician at the University Media Center. Through this experience, I came to realize that I wanted to pursue more practical work and moved to Berlin, where I studied cinematography and photography.
Throughout my life, I have been attracted to visual art. The interaction between technology and creativity, as well as the numerous opportunities to tell stories through pictures, is what I am particularly interested in. I am constantly striving to find the appropriate visual language for a specific story.
My photographic interests include various fields such as art, culture, editorial, film stills, portrait, set & stage photography. I am fond of experimenting with new topics and constantly developing new skills.
In addition to cinematography and photography, teaching is one more passion of mine. My offerings include a range of workshops and mentoring programs. Please feel free to contact me for more information.
