I was born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria, a small, beautiful country on the Balkan Peninsula.
In 2002, after graduating a German language high school, I relocated to Germany to study art history, film, and theatre sciences. During that period, I began my employment as a lighting technician in a theatre and as a lighting and camera technician at the University Media Center. Through this experience, I came to realize that I wanted to pursue more practical work and moved to Berlin, where I studied photography and cinematography.
Throughout my life, I have been attracted to visual art. The interaction between technology and creativity, as well as the numerous opportunities to tell stories through pictures, is what I am particularly interested in. I am constantly striving to find the appropriate visual language for a specific story.
Although I spent time creating motion pictures, it became clear to me that photography is my true passion.
My interests and work include various photographic fields such as art, culture, editorial, film stills, portrait, set & stage photography. I am fond of experimenting with new topics and constantly developing new skills.
In addition to photography, teaching is my second passion. My offerings include a range of workshops and mentoring programs. Please feel free to contact me for more information.
